Use the Interactive Voice Response system to find out the status of your cheque. It's a toll-free telephone system that lets you access your personal case file as well as general information about Ontario Works.
Shortly after you've received your first assistance cheque, you will receive your own nine-digit identification number and a four-digit Personal Identification number that will allow you to use the system.

Call 1-800-808-2268 to access the system and follow the instructions for use. It is available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from noon until 5 p.m.
Sign up for direct deposit to have your monthly Ontario Works payments put directly into your bank account on the payment date. (instead of receiving a cheque in the mail that you have to cash).
