Quit Smoking, Win A Car

NIAGARA REGION, Jan. 3, 2012 - Niagara Region Public Health and the Canadian Cancer Society are incenting smokers to trade in their cigarettes for a chance to win a new car.

Participants in the Driven to Quit Challenge, who are smoke-free for the month of March, 2012 may be eligible to win a 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid or 2012 Ford Edge, one of two, $5000 vacations, or one of seven regional prizes.

The challenge is open to Ontario residents 19 and older who are current smokers (cigarette, cigar, SNUS, chewing tobacco or pipe). Registration begins today and is open until midnight, Feb. 29, 2012.

Tobacco remains one of the leading causes of preventable death and disease in Canada. The majority of people who use tobacco want to quit.
