Environment Day
Niagara residents can drop-off items that can be recycled or reused, free of charge.
Acceptable Items
The items that are acceptable to be recycled or reused include:
- Household hazardous waste
- Scrap metal including aluminum siding, fence posts, bike frames, metal door frames
- Electronic equipment (televisions - must be portable and cannot be part of a unit)
- Clothing and small household items in good, reusable, working condition:

clothing, shoes, purses

draperies
-
blankets, comforters

dishes, kitchen utensils

small kitchen appliances (toasters, blenders, kettles)

and children's toys
- Used inkjet cartridges and cell phones
- Used rechargeable batteries
- Eyeglasses
- Tires (car, van and pickup truck) off the rim, limit of four tires per vehicle
- Blue and Grey Box recyclables
Unacceptable Items
Any items that are not acceptable will be turned away. There are no waste disposal facilities available at this site.
Residents must arrive in a vehicle. For safety reasons, no walk-ins will be permitted.
