Public Recycling Program Results

Public space recycling captures items that tend to be disposed of by individuals in away-from-home locations such as streets, parks, beaches, arenas and other recreational facilities.

There has been a 92.4 per cent capture rate of beverage containers (plastic bottles, glass bottles, jars and aluminum and steel cans), based on an average of the waste audits conducted in the City of St. Catharines, Town of Pelham and NPCA.
