The Region has completed the Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design Study.
The Niagara Region has completed the Class Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design Study for the Burgoyne Bridge.
Based on recommendations from the consultant as well as extensive input received from the public, the Region has decided to replace the existing bridge with a single steel truss arch span supporting two steel box girders from inclined hangers on a hybrid alignment of the existing central and eastern alignments.
