Taking Care of Yourself

One of the biggest challenges new mothers face is finding time to ensure their own needs are met. It can be hard to find time to have a shower or sit down and eat, let alone fit in time to spend on your favourite hobby.

Taking care of yourself after the baby is born is one of the best things you can do for you and your child. A self-care plan should include:

  • getting enough rest/sleep
  • healthy eating
  • physical activity
  • and coping strategies for stress and support from family and friends
