Free Active Play and Healthy Eating Workshops for Parents

Activity and healthy eating provides children with a great start in life and gives them advantages for the future.

Parents with children 2-5 years of age are invited to attend a workshop series aimed at getting families to be more active and eat healthier.

Workshop Information

The Active Play workshop (with a Health Promoter) will:

  • Discuss the benefits of unstructured active play

  • Teach fun and easy ways to be active with children

  • Discuss how less screen time increases activity

The Healthy Eating workshop (with a Registered Dietitian) will:

  • Teach about "Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide"

  • Teach how to plan fun and healthy meals

  • Discuss picky eaters and introducing new foods
