Health Bus
While no longer a bus, the Health Bus continues to offer Niagara residents many valuable services.
Services provided by the Health Bus are now being offered inside the buildings of our community partners.
These include:
- treatment for minor medical conditions
- mental health counselling
- immunization
- sexual health counselling
- sexually transmitted disease counselling, education, testing and treatment
- health education
- illness prevention
- general health assessments
- prescriptions can be written when a nurse practitioner is present
The Health Bus is staffed by two registered nurse practitioners, public health nurses and a community support worker from our Community Mental Health Program.
