The Vaccine Preventable and Infectious Diseases programs work closely together to eliminate or minimize the occurrence and impact of preventable diseases in Niagara Region by promoting and providing immunization to the community, teaching prevention, conducting surveillance and following up with cases of infectious diseases and outbreak management.
