No thanksNiagara Region Public Health offers individual, group and family counselling to travellers concerning general precautions and current immunization recommendations for international travel.
Your two options for travel counselling are:
Tuesdays between 8:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m.
For counselling, medication prescriptions, and vaccinations. The appointment lasts approximately 1 hour.
During the first half, a nurse will personally review topics such as malaria prevention, traveller's diarrhea, and safe food and water. The nurse will also review your medical history and discuss the vaccinations or medications recommended or required for your travel itinerary.
Required and recommended immunizations are administered on-site after the counselling session, including all the necessary prescriptions and documentation for safe international travel.
Receipts will be issued for drug plan benefit submissions or Income Tax purposes.
There are no cancellation fees however, your appointment may have to be rescheduled if you are late.
Appointments should be booked at least 4 - 6 weeks before your departure date, as some vaccines require more than one dose to be effective.
