No thanksIn Ontario, routine immunizations (vaccines) are mainly given in physicians' offices. However, not everyone can get their immunizations when they need them, and not everyone has a family physician.
To make it more convenient for all Niagara residents and to help maintain Niagara's current high level of immunization rates, Niagara Region Public Health offers General Immunization clinics.
Infants 2 months of age and older who need their routine immunizations.
Children attending a child care centre and school-aged children/teens who have been notified by Public Health that their immunizations are incomplete.
Students who have missed vaccines given at school-based immunization clinics.
Adults who need their immunizations updated.
All vaccines that are part of the Recommended Immunization Schedule(s) for Publicly Funded Vaccines in Ontario - August 2011 are offered at the clinics.
Travel vaccines are NOT provided at General Immunization Clinics. Clients requiring travel vaccines should consult with their family physician or contact Niagara Region Public Health Travel Clinic
Vaccines that follow the Recommended Immunization Schedule are free of charge (publicly funded).
There may be a fee for those vaccines that do not follow the routine schedule.
Please bring:
Any previous immunization records (e.g. your child's yellow Immunization Record).
If there are any fees associated with the vaccine(s) you will be receiving, payment is required. When you call to schedule your appointment, ask about the different methods of payment at your particular clinic location.
