Dental Screening

Dental screening is available to all children and youth in Niagara from birth up to 17 years of age.

Elementary School Screening Program

• Dental screening is provided annually to children in selected grades (junior kindergarten, senior kindergarten, 2, 4, 6 and 8) in elementary school. Parents will be notified if their child has an urgent dental condition or if preventive services are recommended.

Dental Health Clinics

• Parents of infants, pre-schoolers, children and youth not screened at school, may request dental screening at one of our Niagara dental health clinics or mobile dental clinic.

If families cannot afford dental care, the registered dental hygienist will inform them of our available program and services:
