What We Do

The Transportation Division is responsible for the planning, design, operation and maintenance of the 770 km Regional Road network that connects Niagara's rural and urban centres and the Provincial highway system.

This Division provides programs for road resurfacing, snow plowing, bridges, traffic signals, storm sewers, tree maintenance, railway crossings, drainage assessments, street lighting, culverts, and traffic warning beacons, bike paths and road signage. The division is also responsible for maintenance of the Region's fleet of vehicles.
