Regional Chairman’s Emergency Preparedness Message:

Every community’s level of preparedness starts with the individual
Niagara Region, through our Emergency Management Program, has a long-standing
commitment to ensuring we are ready to manage any major emergency that could
threaten our residents. The Region has a current Emergency Management Plan and
dedicated staff who work daily with all Region Corporate Departments and Emergency
Service providers to ensure that we are ready to protect our residents and guests
in times of crisis.
While the Region is well prepared to deal with an emergency, there is also
much that our residents can do to prepare themselves. After all, the best way
to deal with any hazard is by knowing how to protect yourself and your family.
In that spirit Niagara Region maintains a variety of emergency preparedness
self help brochures including Emergency Planning for Your Family: The
5 Step Guide that can be found at the Niagara Region Administration
Building – Office of the Regional Clerk (2201 St. David’s Road West,
Thorold Ontario) or can be downloaded
here.
