Councillor R. T. (Ted) Salci has served many leadership roles within the Region of Niagara. He is serving his second term Mayor of the City of Niagara Falls and in this capacity is a Member of Regional Council. Currently he serves on the Integrated Community Planning Committee and the Public Works Committee (formerly the Integrated Community Planning and Public Works Committee). Councillor Salci is also serving on the Property Assessment and Taxation Reform Committee (PATR), and the Transportation Strategy Steering Committee.
He served as Regional Niagara's Citizen Appointee on the Niagara Police Services Board from 1997 - 2000. Currently, he is a member of the Board of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario where he is Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee and Chairman of Niagara Transit Commission.
Councillor Salci served as President of the Chamber of Commerce (Niagara Falls) 1996, Vice-Chair of the Greater Niagara General Hospital Foundation and Board Member of Project Share Food Bank.
