Regional Councillor Judy Casselman began her political career when she was elected as Councillor for the City of St. Catharines from 1992 to 2003. She served as Deputy Mayor and has chaired numerous committees. Councillor Casselman is the Founding Member of Heritage St. Catharines, Friends of the Twelve, and St. Catharines Community Fund. She is a Member of the May Court Club, and volunteers at Linhaven Home for the Aged, Christmas Toy Bureau and the Hotel Dieu Hospital Program. She is also a Board Member of the Niagara Symphony, and Chair of the Community Partnerships Committee. Councillor Casselman is a Board Member of Rodman Hall, and the St. Catharines Museum.
This is Councillor Casselman's second term on Regional Council and currently serves on the Corporate Services Committee, Public Health and Social Services Committee (co-chair) and the Integrated Community Planning Committee (formerly the Integrated Community Planning and Public Works Committee). She also serves on the Culture Committee, Niagara-Hamilton WastePlan Joint Working Group Committee and the Waste Management Planning Steering Committee.
