Regional Councillor George Marshall is serving his seventh term as Regional Councillor.
Councillor Marshall has 27 years of political experience, starting in 1982 when he served nine years as an alderman/councillor for the City of Welland. He has been a Regional Councillor for 17 years.
Before retiring, Councillor Marshall worked for 35 years at the Niagara Health System's Welland site as a Psychotherapist in the Mental Health Department. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees.
Councillor Marshall's involvement includes:
- Member of Family and Children Services Board of Directors
- Child Abuse Committee representing Niagara South hospitals
- Founding member of Oak Centre, Welland
- 10 years on the District Health Council
- Founder and Chair of the Welland Street Clinic, (dealing with sexual health and drug issues).
