Councillor Dave Eke was elected Lord Mayor of the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake in October 2010. Prior to that, he served as a Town Councillor from 1991-1997 and as Regional Councillor for the Town from 2000-2006.
Councillor Eke currently sits on a number of local and regional Boards, including Niagara Parks Commission, Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority and Shaw Festival Theatre.
In addition to municipal politics, he is extensively involved in a range of community organizations and continues to serve as Chair of Goodwill Niagara.
Councillor Eke is retired from General Motors of Canada having served in production supervision and as an industrial engineer.
Happily married to wife Debbie, the Ekes have two children and three grandchildren.
