Pelham Dave (Mayor)

Regional Councillor Dave Augustyn is serving his first term as Mayor of the Town of Pelham. His political career began December 1, 2006.
His employment history includes Development Manager at Women's Place St. Catharines and North Niagara, Hotel Dieu Hospital, Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region, and St. Jerome's University (at University of Waterloo). He holds a Political Science Degree from the University of Waterloo and worked for two years at Queen's Park.
Councillor Augustyn is very active in the community. He served as a Fundraising Professional raising millions of dollars of assist abused women and their children, patients, victims of disease and needy students. He serves as the Chair of the Regional Task Force to End Family Violence, and has served on the Development and Peace Council of St. Catharines Diocese, the Pelham Cares Accomodations Committee, as a member of the Fenwick Lions, and the Pelham Food Drive.
In this term, Councillor Augustyn serves on the Corporate Services Committee (co-chair) and the Development Charges Task Force, the Audit Committee, and the Ad Hoc Committee on Property Assessment. He also serves on the Integrated Community Planning Committee, the Public Works Committee (formerly the Integrated Community Planning and Public Works Committee), the Transportation Strategy Steering Committee (vice-chair), the Inter-Municipal Specialized Transit Advisory Committee, the Smarter Niagara Steering Committee (vice-chair), the Waste Management Planning Steering Committee, and as Regional Council's representative on the Niagara Centre for the Arts Committee.
