artsVest Niagara Public Art Program

ArtsVest, a partnership between Business for the Arts (BftA) and Niagara Region, was a successful, short-term incentive program dedicated to funding public art at locations in Niagara.

The program achieved its main goals:

  • Encouraging creative collaboration between artists and property/business owners
  • Promoting Smart Growth principles and enhanced potential revitalization areas
  • Recognizing the positive contributions that public art makes to our community

"Right on Time" by Brett Davis

The bronze sculpture of Canada geese represents the day to day nature of commuting as Canada geese regularly travel to and from their destinations.

The artwork was sponsored by Niagara Region, Metrolinx and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.

"Right on Time" can be seen at the Grimsby GO Park and Ride.

Upcoming artsVest Unveiling

Stay tuned for the unveiling of our next artsVest project, a sculpture/water fountain by Patterson Funeral Home in Niagara Falls, in spring 2011.
